Life always changes! From
dependent to independent, and then has dependents.
When I was a baby I depended
on my parents, when I was a single adult I was independent and then I got
married I have a soul mate who is my wife, we are best friends and we depend on
each other. Now I have become a father, my baby boy is another one of my
dependents.
Nevertheless, I enjoy every single
stage of my change of life from one to another. Being a father is another
precious of change.
My Baby Boy was born at 3:39am, 2.75kg, 0.5m Tall. At Sorphear Maternity VIP, by Dr. Lang Visakary with the help of two nurses, and supported by my mother in law and me.

Firstly, let me express myself. I am thankful for you, my friends who always care to keep update with me as well as reading my blog. I appreciate that! I am excited to write this post about my best friend Jerry (actually he's my nephew), of his achievement and the success of his business. I am so proud of him as a young businessman, or I may say "businessboy" (",)
On the 27th of December, he arranged an event at Phnom Penh Hotel. It was about his company Eurotech Drinking Water is certified for ISO 9001:2000, the International Production Quality
So sad that I could not attend the event, because on that day I had to go to Siem Reap to attend another of my nephew's wedding. However, I helped him for some tasks also. We always help each other, and treat for lunch or dinner. Anyway, it's not about treating but we just love to hang out. hehe. Most of the time I help him with graphic designs, and he helps me for IT. That are our specialists of skills :-)
My Scottist best friend Daniel, also involved in the help for the event. During the event, they played a video of their production at their factory, which in the video Daniel was a presenter. The video was made about one year ago, but we just got to see it now. It is funny that in the video, Daniel was sounded in Khmer language. Please see the video at the below of this blog.
Now let me give a brief description about the event agenda: 1- The event starts at 4PM for guests registration 2- GM of the Eurotech company gives a welcome speech and begins the event 3- During the reception, there were performances of singing, dancing and catwalk 4- Guests can join fun games to win some prizes 5- GM gives introduction of the company, products and ISO certification 6- Withdrawing lucky draws, there are 50 prizes. The biggest prizes are Refrigerator and 29" Color TV
Alright, now enjoy the photos and videos below with description!
During Jerry's speech, he showed the video of Eurotech production on a large screen. You can see the video(s) on the bottom of this blog.
My best friend Jerry, the GM of Eurotech Drinking Water company, giving his speech and impressed the audiences with his products. In the right photo are the MCs of the event.
The guests had chances to win a prize out of the 50 prizes. The prizes included Refrigerator, 29" TV, Cooler, Cookers, Digital Cameras.....and so and so.
In the middle is Mark, my friend and GM at my company. The pretty girl on the right, is Jerry's youngest sister in law.
Do you notice the standee picture at the back? It's me and my sister. hehe. There are many of my pictures everywhere during the event. Those standees, will be placed in front of shops in Phnom Penh after the event.Yay!
There were girl models performed catwalk and showing Eurotech's products. In the next photo, is the Singaporean man from ISO organization giving his speech in English and Chandravy translating. She is Jerry's wife. Not forget to mention that she's pregnant, yay! I will have a grand nephew!!! (@.@)
During the reception, there were singers and dancers performing to entertain the guests.
WEDNESDAY-THURSDAY, DECEMBER 31-JANUARY 01, 2008-2009
Over the last week of the year, I had a lot of fun times. Christmas party at my friends' house, my nephew's wedding in Siem Reap, Hang out with many of our relatives, Reunion lunch with my university friends, New Year's Eve beach party with relatives and new friends who mostly are girls, Big relatives dinner at Le President last night, there were 5 tables all of our relatives. actually there were more than 50 of us. After the dinner they continued to Karaoke, but I did not join because I had to work on the next day.
Wednesday 31, after a half day work at the office, I had lunch with my UC friends at Sorya Mall. From the left to right: Rath, Sim, Jenny, Sochan, Spencer, Gina and Kits but he's behind the camera.
We enjoyed the lunch, talking, catching up with each other. After the lunch we continued to Swensens Ice-cream. I loved it! The ice-cream was the most delicious and i enjoyed it a lot, because Gina paid for us. hehe
After lunch and ice cream, i got a call from Khieng my nephew who's from France. He wanted to hang out. Once we met and gathered together with four of us, we talked about beach party which my neice Hong who's from USA mentioned to us on the bus on the way back from Siem Reap on Monday. We did not plan to join but then we decided to join them in Sihanukville. It was 3PM already but we still go without a plan and taking anything with us, but small amount of money that we had in our wallets.
The fire works for sales. Lots and lots of them!
We really enjoyed the road trip all the way from Phnom Penh to Sihanukville. We got there at 7PM. There were so many people there on the beahes. It was hard to get a spot to park our car, and we could not get a place to sleep. All guesshouses and hotels were full and the price three times increased. We gave up looking for it and headed to the beach and join the girls. There were.... oops! i did not count, but there were about 20 of us, mostly were girls hehe. (note that they are pretty and cute)
After countdown, we were there dancing until 2AM. We then drove around looking for a hotel, thinking if we could not get one we would not boder to sleep. Fortunately, we got a guesshouse which their price normally 10$, but that night it was 60$. Were we lucky or what? However, got a place to shower and sleep well.
Along the beach there were many of this. They were creative and i liked those.
Now enjoy these four videos of the activities on the beach.... countdown and fireworks.
In this video, we rotating the bottle, who this bottle points at will have to drink, sometimes empty their glass. Unfortunately, i don't drink alcohol and i was behind the camera, so that i was kicked out.
On the Thursday 1st in the evening, we had reunion dinner with many of our relatives who come from different countries such France, New Zeland, USA. It was wonderful to gather with many of our relatives.
Eventually, i got to NLF again this Sunday with my friend Miss Sim. She agreed to come and skipped her class hehe. I picked her up from her school and head for the church. I did not meet many of our friends today, but Cox's family. It was a good weekend that we got to the church, had lunch with Cox family, coffee with Jerry and his wife, then i had family BBQ at home.
It was specially today at the church. We had many exciting and anergetic songs, and khmer opera "La Kaon Basak" about the birth of Jesus Christ.
Family BBQ In this video, kids getting gifts, family BBQ, my nieces dancing with me.... sorry about the bad quality of the video, but i did not have enough light and i upload in low quality for web play back.
It was a fun weekend, though i'm not feeling really happy that my best-friend Jerry is not happy. I always can make him happy when he's with me, but he never had freedom to hang out at anytime he wishes.
Anyway, I had fun with Danny and Eric his former student back in America. We went to have breakfast together, went to the church "New Life Fellowship", then we went to have lunch at T&Coffee Hawaii. After lunch we went to lucky super market and ate ice cream. Last, hanging out at his house until 4PM, i took off and went back home. Actually, Jerry and I planned to hang out at that time and he'll give me some artworks to do for his conference next week. But something went wrong, Jerry said he was bored, tired and unhappy....... for being sticky at home and driving. Therefore, i just had to go home and left him being unhappy at his house. I could not do anything though.
In this video below, we thought of making a stupid video but...... we were not stupid enough, but it was really stupid.
Alright let me talk a little bit about the church we went to. It's hard for me to believe in God, because i only believe in what i can see and feel. However, being at the church is not bad. People there love each other, helpful, welcome and stuffs. All religions are good and guide people to be good.
I used to visit a few church, but the one i went to this morning was great and i like it. It is a good church in term of scheduling, programs and classes. For those who want to know or learn about Christianity and Jesus, New Life Fellowship is the good place to start, i would say. They have classes that you can learn from a beginner to a leader.
These sheets i was given as i was the new comer. I might go there again to learn more, or even take the classes, but i when i do it, i want to do it by myself at my free time. Not that they try to contact me and invite me many time to go and that what i am worried about as they got my number. hehe.
Seeing the video below.... does it encourage or inspire you? :-) maybe...
It has been for days that I have been searching for school and information for further my education level.
I desire to pursue MBA's degree from an advance university. So that I can develop my capability, knowledge and skills that enable me to help my company growth and able to compete with those foreign companies in my home country. By doing so, I am involved as party of my country development indirectly.
I am accepted by a university in Switzerland. However, it's a big amount of investment to complete my study. I have applied for two scholarships, one will result in May. Another scholarship deadline for application is in June, but i already submitted my documents and don't know when the result will be published.
I do hope that I would be awarded for one of the scholarships so my dream for my education will become true. I then will go to study at an advanced education system in the advanced country. Experience the new life that i wish for, the life of being independent, better life style, showing my culture while learning from those international students.
From then i will try to study hard, and do all my best to complete my study with a high grade. Showing that Cambodian students are hard working, ambitious, good character and the admirable nation.
Now please enjoy this inspire video. Actually it's a TV commercial which targets Cambodian New Generation!
China was one of my holiday destinations. Eventually, i had made it to visit for eight days. It was a great tour itinerary, good arrangement, comfortable cold weather of 22°C, nice people of our tour group and it was a worthwhile chance that i happened to meet few more good friends. We went to many places and had different guides too. Being in China, speaking Chinese, eating and using Chinese products.... had the feeling of being in the original home.
In these below videos are our pretty Shanghai guide, describing about the Shanghai people and places. And our nice Beijing guide, singing a nice song for us on the bus.
Ping Ping, the Shanghai (上海) guide. Wen Long, the Beijing(北京) guide. On the first day, we flied to Shanghai and then we went to a 350 meters height tower, The Oriental Pearl Tower (东方明珠).
Then we went to AiyTan the area where we can take great photos of the tower surrounded by the other amazing buildings.
Jacky Chan and Spencer Lim.
(成龙大哥 )
NanJing the busy road.
Though not many of these dishes are my favorite, we had eight to ten dishes every meal. However, Chinese food is salty to me. During the meal we had this culture dance show, which was good. I like seeing cultural performing a lot.
In this picture, i am at Huanqoing Hall, the hall of Imperial Heavenly Vault.
The Temple of Heaven (天坛) where the emperor prayed for rains.
It's me in the General's dress. The hero. hehe ;-)
Zhenyangmen Gate The Great Hall Ofreople (人民大会堂)
The five pandas of Olympic Game, Beijing 2008, China. The forbidden city. Hourng Chav Hourng Kong, the 9999 rooms palace. The summer palace (颐和园) The Bird Nest stadium. The Great Wall of China (长城) At the Beijing airport, flying to Hangzhou (杭州). Sitting in a row eating chinese noodle... doesn't it look funny? Sorry for the ladies that i cropped out of this picture, because they were not eating noodle with us. haha. The corns are real black. I thought they boil them in chinese soup... but the corns come in black naturally. However, it doesn't taste as sweet as our yellow corn. These are my new friends. We always hang out together. The flag i'm holding is the tour's flag which the guide carries wherever we go and we have to follow the flag, not to get lost. It's a smart idea and very useful in a crowded place. Ou Mei Chun where well known as tea field area. This is how the tea is fried. This man is frying the tea with his bear hands. Note that it's hot! The sculptor of Lou Yiu -the tea master. I can't remember the name of this place, but it's in Shanghai. Where there are old model of houses of Chinese. Cherng Hourng Meav. On the Nan Jing road... again... for shopping to spend all the left money before going back home. Food at the airport is so expensive. Just a bowl of noodle it cost 68¥ (10.30$) Though, we did enjoy our meal and talk. A lot of fun! The first big guy from the left is the Beijing guide. Not to count him in, there were 15 of us on the tour. The front row in white long sleeves shirt with a big camera, is me. hehe.
