Shanghai, Beijing, Hangzhou, Suzhou (上海,北京,杭州,苏州)

SEPTEMBER 28TH to OCTOBER 05TH, 2008

China was one of my holiday destinations. Eventually, i had made it to visit for eight days. It was a great tour itinerary, good arrangement, comfortable cold weather of 22°C, nice people of our tour group and it was a worthwhile chance that i happened to meet few more good friends. We went to many places and had different guides too. Being in China, speaking Chinese, eating and using Chinese products.... had the feeling of being in the original home.

In these below videos are our pretty Shanghai guide, describing about the Shanghai people and places. And our nice Beijing guide, singing a nice song for us on the bus.

Ping Ping, the Shanghai (上海) guide.

Wen Long, the Beijing(北京) guide.

On the first day, we flied to Shanghai and then we went to a 350 meters height tower, The Oriental Pearl Tower (
东方明珠).

Then we went to AiyTan the area where we can take great photos of the tower surrounded by the other amazing buildings.

Jacky Chan and Spencer Lim.
(成龙大哥 )

NanJing the busy road.

Though not many of these dishes are my favorite, we had eight to ten dishes every meal. However, Chinese food is salty to me.

During the meal we had this culture

dance show, which was good. I like seeing cultural performing a lot.

In this picture, i am at Huanqoing Hall, the hall of Imperial Heavenly Vault.

The Temple of Heaven (
天坛) where the emperor prayed for rains.

It's me in the General's dress. The hero. hehe ;-)

Zhenyangmen Gate
The Great Hall Ofreople (人民大会堂)

The five pandas of Olympic Game, Beijing 2008, China.

The forbidden city.

Hourng Chav Hourng Kong, the 9999 rooms palace.

The summer palace (颐和园)

The Bird Nest stadium.

The Great Wall of China (长城)

At the Beijing airport, flying to Hangzhou (杭州). Sitting in a row eating chinese noodle... doesn't it look funny? Sorry for the ladies that i cropped out of this picture, because they were not eating noodle with us. haha.

The corns are real black. I thought they boil them in chinese soup... but the corns come in black naturally. However, it doesn't taste as sweet as our yellow corn.

These are my new friends. We always hang out together. The flag i'm holding is the tour's flag which the guide carries wherever we go and we have to follow the flag, not to get lost. It's a smart idea and very useful in a crowded place.

Ou Mei Chun where well known as tea field area.

This is how the tea is fried. This man is frying the tea with his bear hands. Note that it's hot!

The sculptor of Lou Yiu -the tea master.

I can't remember the name of this place, but it's in Shanghai. Where there are old model of houses of Chinese.

Cherng Hourng Meav.

On the Nan Jing road... again... for shopping to spend all the left money before going back home.

Food at the airport is so expensive. Just a bowl of noodle it cost 68¥ (10.30$) Though, we did enjoy our meal and talk. A lot of fun!

The first big guy from the left is the Beijing guide. Not to count him in, there were 15 of us on the tour. The front row in white long sleeves shirt with a big camera, is me. hehe.
