Phnom Da - Takeo

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 19, 2008

Mark asked me to have a day trip to Phnom Da in Takeo since before i went to China, but we have been busy, things came up and so on. Finally we made it!

It was a enjoyable and exciting day trip. We drove a car from Phnom Penh to Takeo and took a speed boat from there to the mountain. The boat took us 40 minutes to get to the mountain and cost us 35$ for two ways. However, i have the feeling that we had been teated. It could have been cheaper than that.

This is the first picture of the trip before i left my house. It's my lovely dog, Judy!

Here is the boat station. We took one of the speed boats.

I enjoyed the speed boat a lot, especially when there was a big wave came the boat flied. haha.

Mark's GPS. It was helpful that it allowed us to know our location, level we were about the sea..... and we were closed to Vietnam border.

Yay! i got the picture of the bird flied off the river. Beautiful!

Alright! here we are! The mountain (Phnom Da). There's a long history about Cambodia at the mountain.

I'm scratching my head wondering should i go in or not....

Beautiful flowers near by the temple.

10 kilometers far away is the Vietnam's border.

This temple was hit by a cannonball. So sad!

Impressive root on the rock.

Walkway to Tamuk's house. A former well known provincial.... whatever.... sorry i don't know much about him. But he's in the history too.

This is the house has been taken over by Cambodian Government. It's no longer belong to Mr. Muk.
