Many kinds of animal on the road

TUESDAY, JULY 29, 2008

It is annoying! Most of the times when i leave my house to work both in the morning, and in the evening back from work. There are many animals on the road. I like animals but this situation is quite irritates me. Not only i have to stop my car and let the animals pass through, sometimes they hit my car and sometimes they even scare me.

Fortunately, i usually go back home at night because after work i have a class. However, if i leave my house at 7:00am and go back home around 5:30pm to 6pm i will stuck by the animals.

Look at these pictures that i took in front of my house! There are cows, sheep, goats, dogs.

This additional photo is my breakfast this morning. I know it's not healthy food, but this morning i out of idea of what to eat :-(

My First Family Video

MONDAY, JULY 28, 2008

This is my very first family video i made since 2003. I worked on many applications to get this video done. Those applications were Photoshop, Flash, Adobe Premiere and a couple of Audio applications.

However, the quality of the video you can see here is not good enough, as i have to reduce the file size otherwise it will take me hours to upload. The internet in Cambodia is still slow and very expensive.

Interact on YouTube

MONDAY, JULY 28, 2008

I used to make home videos and videos for fun... not many though. This time i kind of hook up with YouTube and think of making some video interactions. However, i will occasionally make videos that i can share for culture, events, funny stuffs and so on.

Since i have uploaded some videos on YouTube and my videos got over a 1,000 hits just within a week. I received people comments, rating, subscribers and people requesting to be friends. Then, it seems YouTube gives me inspiration. So yesterday i made a video of myself as an introduction as well as my first community interacting video.

I would love to hear from you for any comment, suggestion, subscription and rate for my videos.

Runnynose Elephant Teapot

SATURDAY, JULY 26, 2008

Mark and I had dinner at Khmer Rurin Restaurant which owned by a white man. It's nice place where surrounded by plants and tree, and full of Cambodian old style of furniture.

What interesting was the Elephant Teapot. As you can see on the picture below.... do you agree to call it a "Runnynose Elephant Teapot?"

SATURDAY, 19th JULY, 2008

Mark and I have a schedule to have dinner together every Saturday. We always go to different places and, different kinds of food and cultures.

Last week we went to a western restaurant which decorated with so old Cambodian furnitures. Not only the atmosphere is interesting the food also great and not too expensive.

These pictures taken by my phone camera, so that it's not in good quality enough to encourage you to see what is so interesting there. But i bet you'll like the place!

Impressive Rolling Store

SUNDAY, JULY 06, 2008

This morning i ended up with being my mom's driver for a whole morning. No complaining though she only can out at the weekend with my dad, sometimes me if dad is not available.

We went to my cousin's shop to buy some groceries. Interestingly, i saw a lady pushing her rolling store in front of me and i couldn't help taking a photo of her impressive life. On her rolling store she has many kinds of vegetable and meat that you can buy and enough to cook for your main meals. We may say her rolling store is a market!

My Cousin is the lady's regular customer i guess. Because the lady pushing her rolling store in front of her house everyday.

These pictures below were taken by my 5 years old niece. Doubt that she can operate the camera!

Maintaining Development into WTO

TUESDAY, JULY 01, 2008

On the above date, i attended a workshop about "Maintaining Development into WTO" which was organized by Economy Institute of Cambodia (EIC) and supported by CUTS International. It was great that the workshop took place at Cambodiana Hotel which is a 5 stars class.

I enjoyed it a lot, not only that i liked the 5 stars hotel services but also had that opportunity to join such a formal and educational event. At the beginning i was kinda nervous too actually. I was guided to sit at the first row next to the panel.

It was a whole day workshop from 8:30 to 5:00. There was two coffee breaks and lunch at the hotel.
The topics on that day were:
1- "Cambodia's Economy WTO accession after 5 years" by Mr. Neou Seiha, Senior Researcher, Economic Institute of Cambodia.
2- "Aid for Trade/Trade SWAP" by Mr. Hang Sochivin, Ministry of Commerce.
3- "Integrating Cambodia's Development Strategy into Multi-Trade Strategy" by Mr. Tekreth Samrach, Council of Minister.
4- "Cambodia Global Economy and Commodity Prices" by Mrs. Kim Natacha, Editor-in-Chief of Economics Today Magazine.
5- "Trade and Poverty Reduction" by Mr. Neou Seiha.
At the end of each session we had discussion and Q&A.
