I've been eating too much!

SATURDAY, JUNE 21, 2008

Three days over the last weekend i end up with having many eating out. I had a lot of appointments and I ate a lot of western food and high calorie dessert. Afraid of getting fat, i had to work out as hard as i could.
It was funny that i was playing online game JX2 while listening to music and doing exercise and get rid of the calorie.

Profiterole au laid was the best dessert i ever had.

Chisor Mountain

SUNDAY, JUNE 15, 2008

Depart from Phnom Penh to Takeo province on the national road number 2, Chisor mountain is in the south of Phnom Penh about 52km.
Phnom Chisor is constructed in brick of clay and stones, girders and frame are sculptured in wills. The mountain possesses registrations dated of the 11th century, and was called Suryagiri. There are about 400 stairs to reach the top of the mountain.

The first impressive photo i got on the trip was this below. I had to stop my car and took photos of this funny food for eyes.

You ever seen Cambodian villagers move their house? Here's how they do it!
The villagers are moving there house by putting it on a cart and about ten men were trying to pull it.

I'm taking your photo. Smile!

400 stars to go to the top of the mountain surrounding by beautiful green plants.

Feeling of Isolated

SATURDAY, JUNE 07, 2008

In advance countries people hardly have a closed friend because life there is too busy. Everyone cares only about their careers and themselves. They don't even have times for their family, not even friends.
Life in Cambodia is now getting busier too. Everyone is busy at work and other schedules.

For me, i'm kind of busy too but i still can try to take sometimes contacting my friends and stay updated with them. Most of my friends are busy or some don't know how to stay in touch. We have high technology which is so convenient for communicating, but some are not into computer and internet. These are the reasons make everyone become isolated from each other.

Today is Saturday, i'm usually don't have much to do at work. I checked my facebook there's nothing for me, Jerry and i planned to have lunch together as this is our habit. We said to have lunch then go to a watch shop to have my watch fixed and do some shopping. When i arrived his house and he already got in my car. He telephoned to his wife if she would like to come, otherwise we would go just two of us.
She said she was sick and she didn't say anything else (she always say nothing when she's angry or upset. This is not good and it's not a solution.) I told Jerry: "I know she's not happy and she wants you to see her or just stay with her. Let's cancel our plan and you go to see her. If not she would be angry and might hate me too."

I was upset but i understood. Even though, Jerry is my closest friend, we should not hang out often like before anymore. He is now married, he should be always with his wife.

I have friends, good friends and closed friends, but some of them are too busy, some are busy, some are not good at keeping in touch, some try to keep updated with me as i always do to them, some don't always remember me, some just ignore me and some might not even like me while i think they liked me.
Anyway, this is life and this is human being. Lie, Pretending, Honest, Loyalty... everything exists.

The reason i write this crazy post just to release it out of my chest, and i know there're only few people know this blog and read it. I hope there's no offend to any reader. You read my blog that means you are my good friend and you care about me and you want to know what i am up to.

Thank you for reading my blog, now that you know you are one of my good friends!

Walking my Dog

FRIDAY, JUNE 06, 2008

Next week i will start my TOEFL class every evening after work. That when i will be busy and have not much free time anymore. As a result, today i brought my dog Judy for a vaccination. After work just at 5 O'clock sharp i immediately left my office and brought her for a walk. It was fun, I parked my car in front of NAGA Casino then walked Judy from there to the river front, to Independent Monument and to some other parks. It was such a long walk.

People liked my dog and also were scared of her which made me proud of her. Actually, she's friendly and such a good dog. While walking her i met some people, and even met two Taiwanese guys and practiced my Chinese which is one of the other languages i have learnt and forgot already.

She liked the river and was thinking if i allow her to swim.

What's going on with Today-Cambodian-Girls?

SUNDAY, JUNE 01, 2008

I had a predicament today, but it was funny!
This afternoon I went to have my hair cut at one of the two of my favorite barbershops. There was a pretty, young, slime and tall girl there who washed my hair. After washing my hair she started a conversation.

Girl: You are so quiet!

Me: Yeah....

Girl: I never seen you.

Me: I come here every time... three times per two months.
(sometimes i go to another of my favorite barbershop)

Girl: You were watching your watch. Have an appointment?

Me: Yeah, with my friend for shopping.

Girl:
Shopping? Friend?..... girl or guy? She hesitate and asked.

Me:
Guy! My closed friend.

Girl:
Not a girlfriend?!

Me:
No! I don't have a girlfriend yet. Nobody likes me.

Girl:
Face like yours, i can't believe you don't have one.... do you want to be friend with me?

Me:
Er...Yeah....better than enemy. (I hesitated and slowly responded.)

Girl:
Do you have a number?

Me:
Well....er.... yes. Pls text during office hours.
(It was a predicament and it's rude not to give my number as she asked. So i gave her my number)

Girl:
Do you know my name?

Me:
No!!! What is it?

Girl:
Sory. And yours?

Me:
Leng. hehe. Nice to be friend!
(Leng is my real name. Spencer is my nickname. I always tell my real name to new people, when we become friends i tell them my nickname as my real name is difficult to pronounce)

Before i left the shop the girl added: See you again (with a big smile)

Conclusion:
Predicament was that she tried to get to know me, made friend and asked for my number.
Funny was that i wonder what is wrong with Cambodian girls today? They are so brave and easy going. That upsets me!!! Cambodian girls before are gentle, lovely and not easy with guys like this.
