My Parents were so lucky!

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 10, 2007

On Wednesday the 10th, my parents went to Battambang by our car with the other two girls who are our house helpers.

They had to go pass to PovPet and then return to Battambang. That night I tried to call both of them but could not get through. Until 11pm I could reach my 3th-Uncle, he said they were in a hotel safely and their phones did not work because fell into the water. In fact, they had a trouble and they did not let me know, they did not want to make me worry.

On the half way from PovPet to Battambang. Their car fell off the road. Before the car fell into the field it rolled 270 degree on the road. My dad and one of the girls were in the car, but they could crawl out safely and less injured. My mom and another girl flew off from the windows and dropped into the field. The girl bled all over her head and my mom was in water unconscious, but not too long she heard the girl called her and she woke up, so she could catch her breath.

Fortunately, there was a taxi passed by. The taxi guy and his two passengers are good people. They helped them a lot such as changing their clothes that covered by blood, holding umbrella, they massaged my mom so she could recover well from unconscious, they even took off their shirts and let my mom use as pillow, then they sent them to the hospital.

It was at night with heavy rain and so dark. My 3th-Uncle and the other relatives in Battambang are so helpful. They helped to arrange bringing the car into town, communicated with the polices and so on. Without them and especially the taxi, my parents and the girls would have had more troubles in the middle of the road where there was no people and village.
They tried to hide not to let anyone knows. They were afraid we would worried, especially me and my sister and her family who were going to Thailand. Until Saturday afternoon, Jerry told me about them. I called my mom, and she talked friendly and told they were all fine. I did not believe her and I thought she just tried to calm me down. I called 3th-Uncle to ask whether they stayed in the hotel or hospital. He told they stayed at Phnom Kheav (Blue Mountain) hotel. I was still not comfortable and I wanted to call the hotel and check if they were really there. Unfortunately, I could not find the number in YellowPage Book at my house because it is the old year. I asked Jerry to check on the internet and Daniel check in his hotel since he was in Battambang too. What the heck! We could not find the number.

On Sunday at 12pm, they arrived home and safe. Not much injured nor broken bone. At 5pm, my sister and her family arrived from Thailand. My mom described the incident, my sister cried and so did mom. Surprisingly, my nieces who are just 4 and 6 years old, also cried and hugged my mom.

See the photos of the car below, everyone surprised and said they were so lucky!
